The software used in the shopping site does require your browser to allow a cookie.  If you set your browser to 'block all cookies' then the shopping system will not be able to remember what products you have chosen.  If you use internet explorer, the shop will work with your privacy settings set at 'high' but not if you set 'block all cookies'.  You can change your settings using 'Tools' then 'Internet Options' then 'Privacy' and then just by moving the slider to 'high' or less.
